Arrowroot Powder and Magnesium Hydroxide are essential deodorant ingredients used to thicken your cream and adjust pH levels as needed. Jojoba Oil is full of antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins that protect + moisturize the skin and help treat inflammation and skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. Fractionated Coconut Oil also hydrates, smooths, and protects the skin, calms redness, and is filled with antioxidants. Organic Flax Glycerin is used as a moisturizing agent in bath + body products. Beeswax Coco Creme is an ethically sourced, renewable, skin-safe wax that is used as a base and helps emulsify body care products. Our Lush Lavandin + Tahitian Vanilla Fragrance Oil blends notes of lavender, jasmine, whipped body cream, and honey. Packaging includes 4 Frosted Glass Jars that hold 50 ml each and Bamboo Lids.
Project Prep:
 | Clean your workspace with warm, soapy water or wipe it down with disinfecting alcohol and a lint-free cloth. |
 | Make sure the room you’re working in is properly ventilated so open up windows if possible (with proper netting so insects don’t fly in). Do not work with a fan on as this can ruin your project formula, especially if you’re using powders. |
 | Make sure all of your making supplies are completely clean before beginning your project. Disinfect your supplies by dipping them in a 5% bleach water solution and let them dry. This includes any containers and spatulas or spoons you’re using to mix + blend your formula. It’s important to make sure your formula is made as germ-free as possible so you can reap all the delicious smelling, soothing benefits! |
 | Organize your workspace by having all your supplies out and readily available. It can be helpful to place your unused supplies on one side of your workspace and then once used in the making process, place them on the other side. |
 | If the project you’re working on requires extra layers of protection because of potential unwanted (hot) splashes, you may want to wear protective equipment like these ultra-chic Safety Glasses or Goggles and Maker Apron. |
Steps:
| Add 0.1 oz of Golden Jojoba Oi, 1.2 oz of Fractionated Coconut Oil, and 1.25 oz Beeswax Coco Creme into Pouring Pitcher #1 and heat it up in the microwave until it liquifies. |
| Once your formula is fully melted, add 2 oz of Arrowroot Powder, 0.1 oz of Organic Flax Glycerin, 0.5 oz of Magnesium Hydroxide, and 0.052 oz of Lush Lavandin + Tahitian Vanilla Fragrance Oil to the oils and Beeswax Coco Creme. Mix everything thoroughly until it is fully combined. |
| Scoop and store your formula into Frosted Jars without lids and allow them to cool at room temperature. To speed up the cooling process, you can put them in the fridge so the cream will harden quicker, but do not leave them in the fridge overnight. |
| Wait 24 hours before covering them with lids and before using your new Deodorant Cream. |
| To use, scoop some cream out of the jar with your fingers, then apply directly to underarms as needed. Enjoy your wonderful, clean creation! |
